Technical

• Design and develop automated test plans and test cases to ensure product quality
• Collaborate with the development team to understand how changes affect ongoing automation efforts
• Identify and track bugs throughout testing. Report bugs to the development team and provide input to resolve issues
• Build and improve test frameworks for usability, functional, and performance testing
• Develop and implement advanced automated testing frameworks and tools
• Maintain a high level of test coverage through automation testing.
• Oversee and direct all aspects of quality assurance for your team, including establishing metrics and applying industry best practices.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards
• Oversee testing to ensure quality is not compromised by resource constraints or changes in scope
• Ensure Accessibility standards are met in deliverables.
• Ensure regular security testing is done for common issues such as XSS scripting and role-based access(Authorization), etc.
• Design and maintain API testing using frameworks such as RestAssured/Postman or similar.
• Share knowledge across teams
• Contribute to the overall product best practices
• Hands on experience in database testing, accessibility testing, white/black box testing.
• Identify bottlenecks in performance, provide actionable information and suggestions based on analysis of testing results.

Behavioral

• Identify problems before they become impediments and create solutions through collaboration.
• Assist in Onboarding junior SDETs and QA team members in the team, implement training and knowledge transfer to other SDETs as needed.
• Lead and mentor junior SDETs and QA team members
• Be an active participant in Scrum meetings and answer the questions asked by BA/PO/UX.

Required Skills

• Good in Java/JavaScript for automation tools
• Good understanding of REST APIs and testing of APIs using tools such as Postman/SoapUI etc.
• Ability to develop applications for test automation
• Proficient in git
• Good understanding of sql basics
• Experience with tools like Jira, or similar bug tracking tool, Confluence - Wiki, Jenkins - CI tool
• Excellent written and oral communication and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of security testing
• Good knowledge of performance testing with Jmeter/LoadRunner
• Good knowledge of Accessibility testing
