Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

You are invited to join AlphaSense as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) within the dynamic engineering Content Mission team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the product by incorporating quality ownership within the team. Your proficiency in automation, cloud services, Kubernetes, and modern programming languages will play a crucial role in shaping our testing strategy and delivering high-quality software. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify test requirements and contribute to the overall quality strategy and product development will be key aspects of your responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Minimum 4 years of experience in Software Development with expertise in Java, Kotlin, or Python. - Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals. - Enthusiasm for identifying code vulnerabilities and detecting flaws. - Extensive experience in Whitebox testing and API automation using RestAssured or similar tools. - Hands-on involvement in constructing and sustaining scalable Automation Frameworks. - Basic familiarity with developing applications in frameworks like SpringBoot, Django, or FastAPI. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. **Qualifications Required:** - Advanced familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including integrating test automation into pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and TestKube. - Practical experience in frontend testing and automation using relevant tools. - Knowledge of performance testing tools such as K6 and JMeter. - Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
