Senior Research Associate

Job Description: As a Senior Research Associate at Syngene located in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for conducting reactions and delivering final compounds within a fast turnaround time, meeting the specific requirements of both the project and Syngene. Your core purpose will involve performing synthetic chemistry reactions, reaction workups, purification of compounds, and operating lab equipment. It is essential to ensure that all samples generated during synthesis are given for analysis and that results are recorded and updated timely to the supervisor or group leader. Moreover, you should be capable of meeting Syngene's productivity expectations without compromising on safety and quality, synthesizing final compounds efficiently, and possessing excellent analytical interpretation and purification skills. Your responsibilities will also include recording experiment/reaction observations, results, resource utilization, and other related activities in the laboratory or e-notebook following guidelines. It is crucial to handle these tasks safely and confidentially, knowing the SDS of chemicals being handled, and being aware of emergency response procedures in case of spillage, leakage, or fire. Additionally, adherence to EHS and quality system requirements in the workplace for individual and lab safety is mandatory. Attending all mandatory trainings, updating training records, and maintaining confidentiality are also key aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you should have up to 5 years of experience and possess in-depth knowledge of organic synthesis concepts and reaction mechanisms. The ideal candidate must be proficient in solving synthetic problems independently, possess excellent purification and analytical interpretation skills, and be familiar with the operations of relevant lab apparatus and equipment. A Master's degree in General or Organic Chemistry is required for this role.
