Senior R&D Engineer (Wi-Fi Software)

About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior R&D Engineer to join our dynamic Wi-Fi team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Wi-Fi drivers on various operating systems such as Zephyr, Linux, etc. This role also involves developing and maintaining Wi-Fi stack software such as supplicant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Wi-Fi drivers on various operating systems.
• Develop and maintain Wi-Fi stack software.
• Participate in open-sourcing initiatives for both Wi-Fi drivers and Wi-Fi stack software.
• Engage in continuous enhancement initiatives such as the development of dev-testing and Continuous Integration frameworks.
  

Key Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of WLAN technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), AAA (802.1x, RADIUS technologies).
• Overall 5 - 10 years of experience with minimum 4 years of experience in device driver and Wi-Fi software stack development.
• Proficient coding & debugging skills in C.
• Familiarity with computer system buses such as PCIe, USB, SDIO, SPI, etc.
• Strong understanding of OS concepts such as scheduling, multi-threading, processes, SMP, inter-process communication, etc.
• Experience with an RTOS, ideally Zephyr.
• Familiarity with embedded TCP/IP stack software.
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
