As a Senior R&D Engineer at Ansys, you will be responsible for developing software products for semiconductor analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Perform development activities that involve in-depth analysis in areas such as user experience, software design, and solver research. - Implement best practices and assist in maintaining them by participating in technical reviews and mentoring. - Conduct complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products. - Research and resolve issues identified by QA or product support. - Understand marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive factors. - Work independently with minimal supervision, potentially taking on planning and mentoring responsibilities. - May oversee interns or co-ops, although usually without direct reports. Qualification Required: - BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5 years of experience, MS with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 1 year of experience. - Commercial experience in software design and development methodologies. - Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in C and Python. - Understanding of electronic design at gate and transistor level.
