Senior Quality Management System Engineer

Job Summary:

The QMS Senior Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organizations Quality Management System to ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 9001 :2015, IATF 16949) and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in fostering a quality culture and continuous improvement across the organization.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audits; manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Maintain QMS documentation, including quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
• Monitor and report on quality performance metrics and trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality risks and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate training and awareness programs on QMS standards and practices.
• Act as the primary point of contact for certification bodies and regulatory agencies regarding quality audits and inspections.
• Support supplier qualification and evaluation processes.
• Drive root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FDA, EU MDR, etc.) for specific industries like , automotive, aerospace, etc.
• Proficient in quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D.
• Experience in the

  Automobile or Auto Components

  industry is

  mandatory

• Internal / Lead Auditor Certification

  in

  ISO 9001:2015 / IATF

  is required
• Strong knowledge of QMS practices, audit processes, and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
