Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven buyer to lead sourcing for heavy fabrication commodities. This role ensures business continuity by achieving cost, capacity, and quality targets, while proactively managing commodity risks and supplier development. Key Responsibilities: Ensure uninterrupted supply, cost optimization, and capacity alignment for heavy fabrication commodities. Anticipate and address commodity-specific risks through robust short- and long-term mitigation plans. Develop and manage strategic suppliers in line with business unit needs. Formulate standardized costing models and establish process norms for fabrication suppliers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and commodity leads to ensure timely cabin product deliveries. Prepare business cases for new supplier onboarding. Evaluate and negotiate price change proposals and NPIP cost submissions. Possess strong knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, machining, and painting. Drive supplier consolidation, cost savings, and support PAN India projects.
