Senior Principal Engineer- OCI// Storage

You are interested in building large-scale distributed infrastructure for the cloud as a Senior Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team. Your role involves owning the software design and development for major components of Oracles Cloud Infrastructure. You are expected to be a rock solid programmer and a distributed systems generalist, capable of diving deep into any part of the stack and low level systems, as well as designing broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Responsibilities: - Work with senior architects and product management to define requirements - Design and implement new features - Define and guide engineering processes and procedures - Review code written by your peers to ensure correctness and fit with the team's overall design principles - Work with the team to operate services that host massive amounts of data Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science; level commensurate with years of experience - Proven experience with a major Object Oriented Programming language such as Java, C# or C++ - Deep understanding of data structures and design patterns - Background in building, testing, and debugging robust production services - Deep understanding of standard architectures for Distributed Systems - Excellent written and verbal communication - Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills Additional Details: You will be responsible for building and improving component design/code for efficiency, performance, simplicity, scale, and resiliency. Your role will involve thoroughness in Storage/Filesystems, including Testing Scope, Understanding of storage fundamentals, Storage efficiency, Rebalancing, Replication, Striping, and Redundancy. You will also handle Cloud Infra operations such as LSE mitigation experience, CAPA, Observability improvements, and Tooling.,
