Senior Platform Engineer

• Agile platform engineering for Power BI to build/maintain/improve Power BI implementation.-/li>
• Application administration of Power BI / Tableau / KNIME including activities such as user access, content management, application licensing and software distribution.
• Build and maintain initial configurations for Windows and Linux server deployments.-/li>
• Automate the administration/operations of the infrastructure and applications.-/li>
• Create and maintain documentation of the infrastructure and applications.-/li>
• Build and maintain monitoring/telemetry, log aggregation, and reporting/dashboarding on infrastructure performance, application performance, and user behaviors.-/li>
• Build and maintain standard authentication and access patterns for integrations within Cargill's broader data/technology ecosystem.-/li>
• Operationally support the infrastructure and applications including break/fix and service requests; 24x7 on-call support when needed; Tier 2+ community support.-/li>
• Support the community in topics such as performance best practices, connectivity, and security.-Gather feedback and drive reliable platform services and features.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams as required to troubleshoot and resolve issues outside the scope of SSA's expertise.-/li>
• Work closely with Cargill's internal communities to gather feedback and drive reliable platform services and features.-/li>

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience-/li>

• Proven experience with one or more of the following areas:-/li>

• Power BI Administration-/li>

• Fabric Administration-/li>

• Application administration and Windows and Linux systems administration-/li>

• Hybrid infrastructure administration and maintenance-/li>

• Enterprise networking and routing, including interface config, DNS, proxies, firewalls-/li>

• Experience with cloud-based 'infrastructure as a service platforms': AWS, Google Compute Engine, Azure, or OpenStack-/li>

• DevOps practices such as CI/CD (Jenkins CI, Drone, Github, and Artifactory), Configuration Management and Automation (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, and Terraform) -/li>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS-/p>

• Experience configuring and maintaining Power BI in a large production environment-/li>

• Microsoft certification in Power BI and/or Fabric-/li>

• Experience with engineering globally distributed business applications with demonstrated ability to optimize for resiliency and latency-/li>

• Experience with infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment, monitoring/telemetry, logging, reporting/dashboarding-/li>

• Experience with deployment and administration of analytics platform components such as Power BI Cloud Service; Power BI Premium; Power BI Gateway; Power BI Embedded; Power BI Mobile; KNIME Server.-/li>

• Experience with cloud-based 'infrastructure as a service platforms': AWS, Google Compute Engine, Azure, or OpenStack-/li>

• Experience with development using GitHub-/li>

• Experience scripting with Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell-/li>

• Experience with package management and patching strategy and tooling-/li>

• Experience with TLS including certificate management and troubleshooting-/li>
