Senior Perception Engineer

Role Overview: You will be a part of Gritt.ai, a venture of Instant Systems Inc., specializing in groundbreaking science and technology to create a dynamic learning platform using advanced AI. Your role as a Senior Perception Software Engineer involves leading the design, implementation, and advancement of software solutions crucial for driving the innovative portfolio of products. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deploy cutting-edge vision models. - Drive the computer vision approach focusing on detection, 6-DOF pose estimation, and localization. - Integrate and collaborate with multiple sensing modalities such as cameras, LIDAR, radar, etc. - Enhance data pipelines, training, and validation infrastructure. - Research and develop advanced models to enhance perception in challenging scenarios like bright sunlight, shadows, reflections, and occlusions. - Optimize training and inference times/memory footprint on GPUs. - Integrate, test, and deploy production-ready solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Required: - Degree in robotics, vision, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other engineering disciplines (or equivalent experience). - 4 years of hands-on experience in developing perception solutions for robotic systems. - Extensive experience in object detection, pose estimation, mapping, and localization. - Proficiency in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or other relevant areas of Artificial Intelligence, demonstrated by industry experience or publication record. - Strong experience with Python and common frameworks like PyTorch. - Ability to take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision. - Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
