As a Senior Node.js / TypeScript Backend Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling backend services, APIs, and real-time systems. Your role will involve working with APIs, workflow engines, and cloud platforms while also mentoring junior developers. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform components using Node.js and TypeScript. - Build and optimize workflow-driven and real-time systems, such as WebSocket and event-driven pipelines. - Integrate with third-party APIs and SDKs like Azure Speech, ElevenLabs, Exotel, Plivo, or similar cloud services. - Efficiently model and manage data in MongoDB to ensure performance and scalability. - Collaborate with frontend, product, ML, and DevOps teams to deliver cohesive solutions. - Drive system design for scalability, reliability, and performance. - Implement best practices for security, testing, CI/CD, and observability. - Mentor junior developers and contribute to raising engineering standards. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of backend development experience, including 4+ years with Node.js and TypeScript. - 3+ years of MongoDB experience with data modeling, indexing, optimization, and scaling. - Proven ability to design and consume APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrate third-party SDKs. - Hands-on experience with workflow engines or no-code/low-code platforms. - Familiarity with real-time systems like WebSockets, streaming, and pub/sub. - Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
