We're looking for strong technical leaders with backgrounds in Front end development to build unique user experience of highly scalable OCI Services. The Opportunity: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer (IC3) to join our OCI PostgreSQL Service team, specifically focusing on the development of our console user interface. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the intuitive and powerful console experience that enables our customers to manage their PostgreSQL instances with ease. You will work on the core user interface, integrating with backend services, and ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience. Responsibilities As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of Front end of OCI PostgreSQL Service. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain the OCI PostgreSQL Service console, ensuring a high-quality, performant, and user-friendly experience. Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineering teams to translate user requirements and design mockups into functional and visually appealing console features. Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable front-end code using modern web technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS). Troubleshoot and debug issues within the console, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the console. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality standards. Contribute to the architectural design and evolution of the OCI PostgreSQL console and new features, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and industry best practices. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in the software industry working on design, development of front end (Console) In-depth understanding of the entire product development lifecycle that includes understanding and refining the technical specifications, HLD and LLD of world-class products and services, refining the architecture by providing feedback and suggestions, developing, and reviewing code, driving DevOps, managing releases and operations. Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React (preferred),Angular or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles. Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming. Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment. Experience working with geographically distributed teams. Strong development experience in React (Front-end programming languages) and its ecosystem.
