Senior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including residential & commercial buildings, high-rise buildings, infra projects, data centres, etc. You will be part of a collaborative team of top experts in the field, working towards shaping a better world through great design and sustainability initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct conceptual design studies, preparation of sketches, and report writing - Carry out mechanical design including building analysis, HVAC systems, specialist gas systems, water services, drainage, and fire suppression systems - Review design work of junior engineers and provide mentoring and development - Estimate and control costs on projects, ensuring highest standards of design and full coordination between specifications and drawings - Coordinate work with all members of design teams and compile specifications for mechanical services and installations - Attend design team meetings, complete site inspections, and compile project reports Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10 years post-qualification design experience in laboratory-based HVAC systems and specialist gases - Third Level Education in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics - Eligible for and working towards Chartered Engineer and/or Professional Engineer status - Experience working on medium to large-scale projects with a focus on sustainability measures and industry standards - Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, proficient in electrical design software and BIM environment At Arup, you will be part of an extraordinary collective that values individuality and encourages diverse experiences and perspectives.
