Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Pressure Tech Industries, you will be responsible for designing and developing Special Purpose Machines (SPM) using SolidWorks. Your role will involve creating 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings, as well as performing calculations and analysis for mechanical components. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the integration of electrical, controls, and production aspects in machine development. Your focus will be on meeting customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Additionally, you will support machine installation, testing, and commissioning activities. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and possess 3 to 6 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly with Special Purpose Machines. Proficiency in SolidWorks, strong knowledge of mechanical components, and familiarity with manufacturing processes are essential. An understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design for manufacturability will be advantageous. Effective communication skills, teamwork orientation, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications are key requirements for this position.
