As an Engineering Projects Senior Manager at Amgen, you will be responsible for managing projects for facilities, equipment, and system changes at Amgens Hyderabad Genome Valley Facilities. Your role will involve applying project management principles to lead cross-functional teams, develop project scopes, obtain funding approval, and implement new or modified facilities, process equipment, and infrastructure. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional project teams to implement facilities and equipment upgrades, changes, and installations while providing technical expertise to manage troubleshooting and resolve equipment and facility issues in the field. **Responsibilities:** - Manage the design and/or construction for various size engineering projects, developing project proposals, cost estimates, and execution plans. - Ensure capital and expense projects comply with global Amgen and site standards to achieve project objectives safely, on time, on budget, and meeting quality requirements. - Lead projects in active operations, renovating existing facilities and equipment, including contractor supervision and commissioning/validation of systems. - Develop project schedules, budgets, cash flows, business justifications, and project design documentation. - Communicate effectively across multi-functional teams, review progress, schedule, and costs, and provide regular updates to clients and management. - Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of team members or third-party resources. - Motivate the project team towards successful outcomes, working both independently and collaboratively. - Be willing to relocate onsite at Amgens Hyderabad Genome Valley facility and support projects in India and other JAPAC countries. **Basic Qualifications:** - Doctorate degree in engineering or related technical field and 6 years of directly related experience OR - Masters degree in engineering or related technical field and 10 years of directly related experience OR - Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field and/or 15 years of directly related experience **Preferred Qualifications:** - 5 or more years experience in project management for lab or manufacturing environments. - Broad knowledge and experience in design, planning, construction, and startup of projects, preferably in GMP manufacturing and utility systems. - Demonstrated skills in design, engineering, troubleshooting, and cross-functional team leadership. - Proficient presentation and facilitation skills.
