Senior Manager (Electrical)

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management:

  Directly manage Dy./Assistant Managers and Lead Engineers. Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and foster a culture of technical excellence.

• Project Delivery:

  Oversee the electrical design and engineering for all projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all standards.

• Technical Guidance:

  Provide expert guidance on complex electrical issues, including power system studies (ETAP/EDSA), HV/MV/LV distribution, transformer and generator sizing, and substation design.

• Design Review:

  Lead and approve key design reviews (HAZOP, SIL, 30/60/90% model reviews) for electrical aspects. Approve key deliverables like load lists, single-line diagrams, area classification drawings, and equipment specifications.

• Vendor Management:

  Oversee the technical evaluation and approval of major electrical equipment (Transformers, HV Switchgear, MV VFDs, Generators).

• Coordination:

  Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical engineering with other disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation) and client.

Qualifications Required:

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience:

  15+ years in electrical engineering within Oil & GasEPC, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role overseeing a team.

Job Skills Needed:

• Strong managerial and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems for hazardous areas (ATEX, NEC Zone/Division).
• Proficiency in electrical engineering software (ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in managing interfaces across disciplines.
