Job Description

The Data Engineering team within the AI, Data, and Analytics (AIDA) organization plays a crucial role in supporting data-driven sales and marketing operations by providing a strong foundation for transformative insights and data innovation. The team focuses on integration, curation, quality, and data expertise across diverse sources to develop world-class solutions that advance Pfizer's mission of making a global impact through data-driven decision-making. As a Senior Data Solutions Engineering Senior Manager, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable data models to optimize the consumption of data sources and generate unique insights from Pfizer's extensive data ecosystems. Your technical expertise will be essential in collaborating with engineering and developer team members to create and maintain data capabilities that enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and design end-to-end data solutions. This includes creating data models and pipelines, establishing robust CI/CD procedures, and implementing the right architecture to build reusable data products and solutions to support various analytics use cases. Key Responsibilities: - Project solutioning, scoping, and estimation - Data sourcing, investigation, and profiling - Prototyping and design thinking - Designing and developing data pipelines and complex data workflows - Creating standard procedures for efficient CI/CD - Developing data quality and integrity standards and controls - Collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver best-in-class data products globally - Demonstrating outstanding collaboration and operational excellence - Driving best practices and world-class product capabilities Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a technical area such as computer science, engineering, or management information science (Master's degree preferred) - 9+ years of combined data warehouse/data lake experience as a data lake/warehouse developer or data engineer - Experience in developing data products and features for analytics and AI use cases - Domain knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry preferred - Good knowledge of data governance and data cataloging best practices Technical Skillset: - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and object-oriented scripting languages for building data pipelines - Experience in designing and delivering data lake/data warehousing projects - Hands-on experience in data modeling - Working knowledge of cloud native SQL and NoSQL database platforms (Snowflake experience desirable) - Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, EMR, RDS, Spark - Understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices - Knowledge of data privacy standards, governance principles, and industry practices compliance Pfizer is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and complies with all applicable equal employment opportunity legislation.,
