SENIOR LAB TECHNICIAN

As a Senior Lab Technician, your role is to oversee and perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results. You will work in a laboratory setting, assisting in research, development, and analysis of samples and data. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with this role : Laboratory Operations : Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality control measures. Coordinate with other team members and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment. Sample Collection and Preparation : Collect and prepare samples for testing and analysis. Follow established protocols for sample collection, labeling, storage, and transportation. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Laboratory Testing : Perform a range of laboratory tests and experiments, using specialized equipment, instruments, and techniques. This may include chemical analyses, biological assays, microscopy, DNA sequencing, or other specific testing methods relevant to the laboratory's field. Data Analysis and Interpretation : Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control standards. Prepare and maintain records of test data, observations, and calculations. Collaborate with other team members to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions. Quality Control and Assurance : Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results. Identify and troubleshoot any technical or equipment issues that may impact testing outcomes. Follow proper documentation and reporting processes.
