Role Overview: You will be working with business stakeholders and cross-functional SMEs to deeply understand the business context and key business questions. Your main responsibilities will include creating Proof of concepts (POCs) / Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and guiding them through to production deployment and operationalization of projects. Additionally, you will influence machine learning strategy for Digital programs and projects, make solution recommendations, and develop analytical / modelling solutions using various tools. Key Responsibilities: - Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to understand business context and key business questions - Create Proof of concepts (POCs) / Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and guide them to production deployment - Influence machine learning strategy for Digital programs and projects - Make solution recommendations balancing speed to market and analytical soundness - Develop analytical / modelling solutions using tools like Python, R, TensorFlow - Formulate model-based solutions by combining machine learning algorithms with other techniques - Design, adapt, and visualize solutions based on evolving requirements - Create algorithms to extract information from large data sets - Deploy algorithms to production to identify actionable insights - Compare results from various methodologies and recommend optimal techniques - Develop and embed automated processes for predictive model validation, deployment, and implementation - Work on multiple pillars of AI including cognitive engineering, conversational bots, and data science - Lead discussions at peer review and positively influence decision making - Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in machine learning techniques, tools, and concepts - Facilitate sharing of new ideas, learnings, and best practices across geographies Qualification Required: - Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering at a minimum - 2-4 years of work experience as a Data Scientist - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Programming knowledge in statistical/programming software like R, Python and data querying languages like SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Scala - Hands-on skills in feature engineering and hyperparameter optimization - Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS data management tools - Understanding of statistical concepts, ML algorithms, Agile principles, and more - Ability to lead, manage, and deliver customer business results through data scientists or professional services team - Self-motivated and proactive problem solver Additional Details: The company, KPMG in India, was established in August 1993 and offers services to national and international clients across various sectors.
