Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Driving Operational Excellence (OE) initiative at Supply Chain Centre (SCC), . Identification and effective execution of OE projects that deliver substantial, measurable, and sustainable business impact. Lead initiatives that help in standardization and improved control of core SCC processes. Enable the SCC to deliver on productivity targets and becoming a benchmark in the markets in which it operates. Employee engagement and competency building in OE methodologies. Role & responsibilities : Deliver targeted results through identification, structuring and execution of business process improvement and re-engineering projects using Lean, Six Sigma and other data analytics tool / methodologies / frameworks Lead and facilitate efforts to promote ideation and instil a culture of continuous improvement throughout the SCC Facilitate and lead assessment of current processes including internal and external benchmarking and performance measurement Facilitate sharing and implementation of best practices from within and outside the organisation Create a cadre of Six Sigma professionals (Green Belts) through coaching and mentoring to help them identify and execute Lean Six Sigma projects Develop and influence new ideas / approaches to project management and problem solving; establish procedures, plans and practices which promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results in complex operational environments Develop and implement robust governance mechanisms to track individual projects and overall initiative progress 2. Critical Success Factors: Operational Excellence experience - Proven experience of delivering measurable business impact as a OE professional; hand on experience of delivering on cost efficiency / process transformation targets in a large organization Project management Extremely strong project management skills (soft skills & networking); ability to deliver on plan Analytics skills and solution orientation Strong analytical ability and deep understanding of different analytical approaches including data analytics platforms and tools; able to find creative solutions for problems Change management Strong influencing and change management skills; ability to work with peers and others to aggressively drive project execution.
