SENIOR ENGINEER (PRODUCTION) - ELECTRICAL (FTC)

Requirement:

B.E / B. Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineer with 8-10years of Experience in Ship building industry.

Knowledge of marine electrical systems, standards and marine classification rule.

Experience in handling electrical outfitting, panel wring, cabling and termination work.

Key responsibilities:

1. Supervise electrical installation and commissioning for shipbuilding and ship repair projects.

2. Coordinate daily production activities with Supervisors, technicians and sub-contractors.

3. Interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules and system layouts for marine electrical systems (E.g. Lighting, power distribution, control systems, navigation and communication)

4. Plan and allocate manpower, tools and materials to meet project deadlines.

5. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and classification society requirements (eg. ABS, DNV, IRS).

6. Conduct inspection and pre-commissioning checks of electrical systems and troubleshoot faults.

7. Interface with design, planning and quality departments and troubleshoot faults.

8. Monito progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for management.

9. Assist in procurement planning and material follow-up.

10. Coordinate with OEMs/Vendor during installation or commissioning of equipment like generators, switchboards, motors etc.

11. Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
