Senior Engineer - Linux Integration

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs. Your role will involve collaborating with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions that meet performance requirements and interfaces. Your work will contribute to launching cutting-edge products that exceed customer needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and validate software for embedded and cloud edge systems - Analyze user needs and software requirements to customize software for optimal operational efficiency - Design and implement software modules - Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and integration efforts to ensure project completion within specifications and schedules - Collaborate with project teams, perform code reviews, and write technical documentation **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience or a PhD will be considered - At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, among others - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Experience with Database Management Software, API, and Source Code Management Systems like Git, Perforce is desirable In this role, you will work under supervision, and your decision-making may impact work beyond your immediate group. You will need to plan, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks efficiently, as they may not have defined steps. Strong communication skills are essential for conveying information effectively.
