Senior Engineer, Geotech

As a Geotechnical Engineer at Ramboll in Gurgaon, you will be responsible for coordinating with team members and the project manager to ensure timely project delivery. To excel in this role, you must hold a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering from premier colleges such as IITs/NITs/DTU. Your key responsibilities will include: - Interpretation of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and utilization of appropriate geotechnical design parameters - Ground improvement techniques like CMC, PVD, Stone columns, etc. - Analysis and validation of Soil-structural Interaction Modeling - Designing support systems for slope stability analysis - Prediction of ground movement, settlement, and risk assessments for urban structures - Proposal of instrumentation and monitoring schemes, along with data review - Preparation of Geotechnical/geological design specifications and criteria - Designing retaining systems like sheet piles, combi walls, secant piles, etc. In terms of personal attributes, you are expected to have: - Proficiency in English language and proven report writing skills - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities - Ownership of deliverables, learning, and career growth - Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Your qualifications should include hands-on design experience in heavy civil structures foundation, ground improvement, marine, and earth retention systems. Experience in geo-seismic hazard analysis, seismic risk assessment, or related fields is desirable. Familiarity with European design codes (Euro codes/British Codes), proficiency in software like Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, WALLAP, GeoStudio, knowledge of Python scripting/automation, and the ability to coordinate effectively with team members and the project manager for on-time project delivery are also crucial.
