Job Description

In this role as a Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, your main responsibility is to ensure the operational continuity of our clients" IT infrastructure and systems. Here's an overview of what your day-to-day activities will entail: - Reviewing client requests and tickets, utilizing your technical expertise to efficiently and effectively resolve them - Serving as the go-to person for second-line support, handling incidents and requests of medium complexity - Proactively monitoring work queues, executing operational tasks, and updating tickets with the actions taken - Identifying, analyzing, and logging issues to prevent escalation - Collaborating with other teams and clients to provide support and ensure changes are implemented with clear risk identification and mitigation plans - Highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks during shift handover - Escalating tickets when necessary to ensure the appropriate focus from Centres of Excellence (CoE) and other teams - Working with automation teams to optimize efforts and automate routine tasks - Establishing monitoring for client infrastructure and managing initial client escalations for operational issues - Contributing to the change management process by logging change requests and executing approved maintenance activities - Driving trend analysis reports to identify tasks suitable for automation - Supporting disaster recovery functions and other related tasks as required To excel in this role, you should have: - Proficiency in technologies such as Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls, and familiarity with ticketing tools - At least one technical certification in the mentioned technologies - Strong planning skills, adaptability, resilience, and effective communication across different cultures and social groups - Active listening and client-centric communication skills - A positive outlook and the ability to perform well under pressure - A client-first attitude, always striving to create positive client experiences - A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or relevant work experience NTT DATA is a global innovator of business and technology services, dedicated to helping clients innovate, optimize, and transform for long-term success.
