Senior Engineer (Backend), Product Trust (Technical Lead Role)

Role Overview: As a member of the Product Trust team at Postman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Postman remains a safe and trusted platform for our customers. You will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing backend architecture to support the continued scale of the Collections. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will lead the team architecture of multiple teams and drive initiatives that promote architectural improvement and innovation. Your technical leadership and mentorship will be key in elevating the collective expertise of the engineering team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, build, and implementation of backend architecture to ensure the scale of the Collections, proactively identifying and resolving technical risks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering leaders to drive architectural improvement and innovation. - Lead the team architecture of multiple teams like collections, version control, mock servers, and scale it further for upcoming growth. - Contribute to roadmap planning, aligning products with strategic goals, and offering technical leadership and mentorship to fellow engineers. - Take ownership of maturing existing systems by defining initiatives to improve availability, reliability, performance, and maintainability. - Rapidly construct functional prototypes to address internal and external use-cases, driving product evolution. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in writing production code and maintaining production systems. - Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, data management fundamentals, and data storage principles. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and strong analytical and debugging skills. - Passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative team environment, with excellent communication skills. - Mission-oriented, detail-oriented, and fast-moving, with an insatiable curiosity for learning and sharing knowledge. - Experience working on a developer product is a plus, as well as experience with NodeJS and TypeScript. - Presence required in the Bangalore office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.,
