Senior Embedded Application Engineer - Microcontroller

Xbattery is dedicated to developing large-scale energy storage products for grid and commercial applications by utilizing an Indian tech stack that includes Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), IoT, and digital twins powered by AI. We are in search of a highly skilled Embedded Application Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience, proficient in NXP and STM32 boards, BMS, and energy solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in crafting optimized embedded software, interfacing with hardware peripherals, and contributing to innovative energy projects. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and sustain embedded firmware for NXP and STM32 microcontrollers. - Create low-level drivers, communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART), and hardware interfaces. - Focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS), encompassing SOC (State of Charge), SOH (State of Health) algorithms, and balancing techniques. - Collaborate with diverse teams to merge energy storage solutions with power distribution and energy management systems. - Optimize software for power consumption, performance, and safety within embedded systems. - Conduct debugging and validation of embedded systems using tools like JTAG, SWD, and oscilloscopes. - Implement communication protocols, work on firmware updates, and engage in bootloader development. - Uphold technical documentation and ensure adherence to relevant safety standards. Practical Skills & Experience desired: - Proficiency in C/C++ Programming. - Experience in developing with Arm Based Microcontroller Architectures, particularly on NXP, ST, Renesas, or Infineon platforms. - Familiarity with Software development using Eclipse-based GCC & GBD tool chains. - Knowledge of integrating RTOS (FreeRTOS or Zephyr) and popular middleware (wireless connectivity, USB, Ethernet) into embedded software projects. - Understanding of IoT Security standards such as Arms Platform Security Architecture (PSA) Certification Framework.
