Senior Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at Aether Semiconductor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting AC/DC power boxes and small electrical assemblies for semiconductor equipment. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into deposition and etching tools. You will create and review electrical schematics, layouts, and technical documentation using CAD tools, ensuring the performance, reliability testing, and compliance with safety standards of the electrical systems. Additionally, you will provide support for controller selection, integration, and programming in semiconductor tools and diagnose and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and fielded equipment. Your expertise in evaluating and sourcing electrical components while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards will be crucial. It is essential to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in semiconductor equipment design and development. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and possess 3-5 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry, particularly in deposition and etching tools. Hands-on experience with AC/DC power boxes, power supply systems, and small electrical assemblies is required. You should have a strong understanding of industrial controllers such as PLCs and microcontrollers and proficiency in electrical CAD tools like Altium or OrCAD. Familiarity with troubleshooting tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers is essential, along with knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance. Experience with analog and digital circuit design, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities are also necessary for this role. Preferred skills include experience with FPGA or embedded programming, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment operation, and exposure to high-voltage and high-current systems.
