Senior DevOps Engineer - GCP

Role Overview: You will be joining the Cloud Management team in Autodesk's Enterprise IT organization as a Senior DevOps Engineer focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your role will be crucial in defining and managing the enterprise public clouds, enabling developer productivity. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse applications, implementing best practices for networking, security, and resource management. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and automate a robust, scalable, and secure GCP landing zone, following best practices for networking, security, identity, and resource management - Migrate various applications to the new GCP landing zone with minimal downtime and ensuring data integrity - Identify and execute cost optimization strategies, performance enhancements, and operational efficiencies within the GCP environment - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager for automating GCP resource provisioning - Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications to GCP, ensuring fast, reliable, and automated releases - Collaborate with the Cloud Management team to enhance GCP knowledge, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative learning environment - Partner with the Security team to enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards within GCP - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for GCP infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and performance - Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues within the GCP environment Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform, GCP certifications are desirable - Proficiency in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, and SRE principles - Experience in migrating applications and infrastructure between cloud providers or from on-premises to cloud - Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager - Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with programming languages commonly used in DevOps - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Cloud Build, or similar - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, with GKE preferred - Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts in GCP - Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, and data encryption - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach - 5+ years of DevOps experience in Google Cloud - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field - Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is an added advantage About Autodesk: Autodesk is a company where amazing things are created daily using their software.
