Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists in the design, development, and testing.
• Performs various levels of testing to ensure correctness of software systems using various means of automated and manual testing, such as: unit testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, smoke testing, etc.
• Participate in code reviews on work produced by other team members and work closely with QA to perform test plan reviews.
• Proactively play a supporting role in managing our clients expectations, concerns, and/or questions.
• Seek out continual improvement and engagement of Fresche clients • Will be responsible for maintaining Fresche 100% customer referenceability.
• Respect SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
• Assist other development/support staff in troubleshooting application issues and providing assistance in resolving hard-to-find defects.
• Keep immediate manager informed on all project updates and changes.
• Documents new and existing applications and systems through a combination of textual explanations and visual diagrams of varying levels of detail depending on the target audience
• Provides support for applications and systems as necessary.
• Researches and stays current on the latest trends in software development, the pertinet industries, and related technology.
• Learns Fresche products, and related technologies, to increase the ability to support and maintain our client needs.

Technical Proficiencies (languages, tools, systems, etc.)

• Proven hands-on Software Development experience on IBMi (AS/400)
• Experience with RPG, RPG/iLE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL, ILE COBOL, CL, CLLE programming and analysis
• DB2 Database • Experience with SQL concepts • Experience with previous RPG versions.
• Experience with relational database, including SQL Plusses: Rational Developer (RDi), Free format RPG coding, DDM, Embedded SQL, XML, FTP, SFTP, MQ , Web Services, Java, and .Net.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/ MCA
• 7-12 Years of relevant experience
