Senior Designer / Modeler - BIM HVAC

As a Principal Designer at Ramboll, you will play a crucial role as a senior member of the drafting team. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to deliver a wide range of engineering drawings for projects of varying complexity. In addition to engineering tasks, you will also support Heads of Departments in enhancing the competence of the drafting team. You will be a key driver for maintaining technical quality, ensuring compliance with project objectives, and upholding quality standards. Your role will involve mentoring junior team members, coordinating with project stakeholders for drafting work, and ensuring the technical correctness and timely delivery of drawings and documents for your projects. You will be expected to stay abreast of technological advancements, regulations, and industry standards. Effective resource planning and optimization, along with decision-making skills, will be essential for enhancing productivity and profitability. Your technical expertise in software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and familiarity with BIM/CAD standards will be critical for the role. Qualifications for this position include a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI training with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience, ideally on major projects in the Middle East or the UK. Strong knowledge of Revit, mechanical and HVAC systems, and experience in 3D modeling tools like Revit and Navisworks are required. Experience in preparing drawings at various stages of design, knowledge of Building Services design, and familiarity with BIM/CAD standards will be advantageous.
