Sr. Database Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain

  MySQL Aurora

  databases in

  AWS

  environments.
• Manage and optimize

  AWS RDS

  instances, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Work with

  EKS (Kubernetes)

  for database deployments and orchestration.
• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient data models and queries.
• Manage version control of database schemas and scripts using

  GitHub

  and

  Flyway

  .
• Support developers with

  high-performance MongoDB design and implementation

  for demanding workloads.
• Monitor database performance using

  AWS

  and

  Datadog

  , and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with

  industry best practices

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years

  of experience with

  MySQL architecture and development

  .

• 3+ years

  of experience with

  AWS RDS and/or Aurora

  .

• 2+ years

  of experience with

  MongoDB

  .

• 1+ year

  of experience with

  EKS, GitHub, and Datadog

  .
• Proven experience as a

  Development DBA

  in fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on experience with

  EKS (Kubernetes)

  and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with

  GitHub CI/CD workflows

  .
• Extensive experience with

  MongoDB architecture, design, and optimization

  .
• Proficiency in

  database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization

  .
• Strong understanding of

  cloud security, scalability, and automation

  .
• Familiarity with the

  full software development life cycle (SDLC)

  .
• Strong

  communication and collaboration skills

  in

  cross-functional teams

  .
• Experience in

  database security

  ,

  disaster recovery (DR) design

  , and

  data migration

  between environments and across different RDBMS platforms.
