Senior Database Developer (MS SQL)

Role Overview: As a Senior SQL Developer at Unity Infotech, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and high-performing SQL databases and applications. Your role will involve ensuring optimal performance, security, and integrity of database systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL databases, including schema design, table structures, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. - Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for performance, efficiency, and data retrieval. - Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across multiple database environments. - Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies. - Collaborate with Architects, Business analysts and other developers to understand data requirements and implement appropriate database solutions. - Review database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions and strategies. - Conduct code reviews, enforce database standards, and ensure adherence to best practices. - Provide technical guidance and support to developers and support team. - Stay updated with new database technologies and trends and recommend improvements. Qualifications Required: - At least 8 years of experience in SQL development - Proven experience in working with MS SQL Server - Expertise in writing & optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions - Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
