Job Location: Nagpur/Pune Position Summary: Amla Commerce is seeking an experienced Senior Database Architect with 12+ years of experience to join our growing Software Development team. In this critical role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance database systems. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure that our database architectures meet business needs while adhering to best practices in performance, scalability, and security. Key Responsibilities: Database Architecture: Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance database systems, ensuring that they meet organizational requirements. Performance Tuning & Optimization: Continuously optimize database performance, perform query tuning, and ensure high availability and reliability of database systems. Database Design & Management: Oversee the design of complex database structures, including schemas, tables, indexes, and views, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. Data Migration & Transformation: Lead the execution of large-scale data migrations, transformations, and integrations. Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize cloud-based database systems (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS) for scalability, availability, and security. Collaboration: Work closely with software development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure database integration aligns with application requirements and business goals. Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior database developers and engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning, best practices, and innovation. Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the design and implementation of efficient, high-quality reporting solutions for business analysis. Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements for databases, including implementing data protection and privacy best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and management. Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and XML Operations. Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and EAV data structures. Proficiency in SSIS, SSRS, CTE, SQL Server Indexes, Bulk Insert, BCP, CMD Shell, and Memory Optimization. Deep knowledge of Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Database Design, and Table Joins. Experience with Cloud Databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS) and managing cloud-based database architectures. Solid understanding of data migration, backup & maintenance plans, and disaster recovery strategies. Proven leadership and mentorship skills, with experience leading teams and driving database strategies. Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical strategies to stakeholders. Why Join Us?
