In this role with Target Data Science & Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work on developing and managing cutting-edge predictive algorithms using large-scale data to automate and optimize decisions across various domains. Whether you are part of the Statistics, Optimization, or Machine Learning teams, you will be challenged to leverage Target's vast data resources to create solutions that drive key business functions such as Marketing, Supply Chain Optimization, Network Security, and Personalization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a deep understanding of business and operational processes within Targets Team and Ops Finance portfolio - Create scalable and reproducible data science models to address a variety of business challenges - Collaborate closely with the team to define business problems, formalize algorithms, discover insights from data, and prototype solutions - Enhance product features based on data analysis and design new features to expand product capabilities - Implement models into production code with thorough test coverage and adhere to good software development practices - Produce clean and efficient code based on specifications - Collaborate on issue analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution in models and software - Document and communicate project outcomes through analyses and artifacts - Develop self-service tools for error detection, diagnosis, and predictive metrics Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/MS/PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields - 4+ years of relevant experience - Background in supply chain, ecommerce, or fintech preferred - Experience in delivering rapid POCs with iterative improvements - Strong analytical and data visualization skills with the ability to creatively solve business problems - Hands-on experience deploying ML models at scale using standard frameworks and tools - Proficiency in Python, SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Spark; knowledge of Scala, R, Java desired - Expertise in advanced AI areas like Deep Learning, NLP, Transformers, Reinforcement Learning - Extensive experience in developing, validating, and deploying ML models for measurable business outcomes - Good understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, optimization, data analysis, data mining, forecasting, simulations, and visualizations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Results-oriented, with a passion for solving real-world problems using data science - Strong team player with effective collaboration skills across geographies and time zones - Ability to think quickly and structure conversations in group settings You can find more information about life at Target, benefits, and culture on the Target India website: - Life at Target: [Target India Life](https://india.target.com/) - Benefits: [Target India Benefits](https://india.target.com/life-at-target/workplace/benefits) - Culture: [Target India Culture](https://india.target.com/life-at-target/belonging),
