Senior Data Scientist, Product, Google Play

Role Overview: As a Data Scientist at Google, you will help serve Google's worldwide user base by providing quantitative support, market understanding, and a strategic perspective to partners throughout the organization. Your role involves being an analytics expert for your partners, using data to help them make informed decisions. You will be responsible for weaving stories with meaningful insights from data, making critical recommendations for colleagues in Engineering and Product Management, and effectively communicating your findings to team leaders. Key Responsibilities: - Guide and inform product development by applying data science methods. - Collaborate with Software Engineers and Product Managers on foundational data capture and processing. - Investigate and make decisions on design and functionality choices. - Evaluate and monitor previous changes to identify areas for improvement and inform product direction. - Perform analysis using tools such as SQL, R, and Python to solve problems, narrow down options, and take ownership of open-ended business problems to find solutions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. - 8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding in Python, R, or SQL; or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree. - Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.,
