Senior Data Scientist, GIA Innovation

As a Senior Data Scientist at UBS, your role will involve leading and mentoring data analysts and scientists within Group Internal Audit (GIA) to deliver high-quality data analytics and automation solutions to support audit processes and risk assessments. Additionally, you will strategically drive the implementation of analytical products, monitor their usage, and communicate complex insights derived from analytics to senior stakeholders. It will be essential for you to stay updated with the latest trends in analytical innovations and build constructive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across GIA and the GIA Innovation team. Your team will be the Group Internal Audit (GIA) Team in India, an independent function that supports UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives. The GIA team is committed to attracting and developing top talent by driving career growth within and outside the department. The GIA Innovation team supports the mission and vision of GIA by empowering staff to embrace innovative automation and data analytics tools and techniques. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, 7+ years of experience in data-driven initiatives, expertise in developing and implementing advanced analytics and AI solutions, proficiency in tools like Python, SQL, Alteryx, and Power BI, strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, proven leadership skills, deep understanding of audit contexts, and experience in managing projects within an Agile framework.
