Senior Data Engineer & Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize
ETL pipelines
using
AWS Glue
and
PySpark
.
Manage and query large-scale datasets using
AWS Redshift
,
DB2
, and other relational databases.
Build and maintain
data models
, datasets, and visualizations in
Power BI
to support analytics and decision-making.
Develop
interactive reports, KPIs, and dashboards
that translate business requirements into visual insights.
Apply
data warehousing principles
such as star schema and dimensional modeling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, accuracy, and consistency.
Integrate data from multiple sources, including
DataStage, SAMS, DynamoDB
, and other backend systems.
Ensure
performance tuning, optimization
, and
security
of data pipelines and BI assets.

Required Qualifications

4+ years of combined experience in
Data Engineering
and
Power BI Development
.
Strong hands-on experience with
AWS Glue
,
AWS Redshift
,
Python
, and
PySpark
.
Advanced skills in
Power BI
(DAX, Power Query, data modeling, performance optimization).
Experience in
ETL development
,
data integration
, and
data warehousing concepts
(ETL, star schema, dimensional modeling).
Proficiency with databases:
DB2
,
Redshift
,
SAMS
, and
DynamoDB
.
Exposure to
frontend ETL tools
like
IBM DataStage
.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in
CI/CD pipelines
for BI and data engineering projects.
Knowledge of
data lake architectures
and cloud-based data ecosystems.
Experience integrating Power BI with
AWS data sources
and APIs.
Familiarity with
data governance, security, and compliance
best practices.
