Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Senior Data Analyst to join our GTM Analytics team at New Relic. In this role, you will play a vital part in uncovering valuable insights about our customers and user engagement across our product portfolio. Your main focus will be delivering actionable intelligence to our GTM and Product leadership, improving our sales organization's analytical capabilities, and harnessing the vast amount of business, user, and customer data generated by New Relic. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply analytical skills, and drive data-driven decision-making by defining and testing hypotheses and delivering practical insights through data visualizations. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with GTM leaders to develop roadmaps for customer-facing teams encompassing operational and strategic projects supported by analytics. - Independently lead and drive key projects anticipating the needs of executive leadership and ensuring successful delivery. - Identify areas where data science and data-driven insights can have a significant impact on GTM and take ownership of prioritizing and delivering these projects. - Design and implement key performance metrics aligned with New Relic's GTM strategy. - Collaborate with Data Engineering to define scalable data model requirements and ensure successful implementation. - Lead agile delivery of analysis, ensuring clear definition, implementation, supervision, and communication. Qualifications Required: Must-have: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or PhD with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a quantitative field. - Previous experience in Sales and GTM analytics, showcasing a strong business sense. - Profound technical expertise in end-to-end analytics, including building pipelines, data modeling, generating insights, and familiarity with common data science techniques. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar. - Knowledge of basic data science methods such as regression, classification, tree-based, and time series methods. - Strong business intuition and curiosity regarding GTM operations. - Proven success in driving prioritization across multiple partners and influencing up-level requirements for strategic impact. - Ability to independently complete projects, including development of self-service dashboards, data reports, and ad hoc analytics capabilities. - Proven project management skills, including implementing, documenting, and communicating optimally with collaborators and partners during requirement gathering, data modeling, and visualization. - Ability to distill sophisticated findings into practical and detailed insights, with strong storytelling skills. Nice-to-have: - High familiarity with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, FiveTran, DBT. - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Background in data science with a track record of deploying work for impactful business outcomes.
