Job Overview

Zenwork is hiring a Senior Content Editor for a full-time, remote contractual role. This role is suited for a senior-level content professional with a strong background in content writing, journalism, or SEO writing who has developed deep expertise in editing and content refinement. As a Senior Content Editor, you will be responsible for editing and enhancing a variety of content types ranging from articles and blogs to landing pages and marketing assets. You will also be expected to rewrite content where necessary to improve clarity, structure, and alignment with the brand voice. The role demands strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and an ability to maintain a high standard of quality across all content outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit content for grammar, style, tone, clarity, accuracy, and consistency across formats including blog posts, web copy, long-form articles, email content, and reports.

• Rewrite or rework content to improve readability, engagement, and overall quality while retaining the core message.

• Ensure all content aligns with Zenworks editorial guidelines and meets strategic objectives.

• Collaborate with writers and internal stakeholders to ensure factual accuracy and consistency in messaging.

• Maintain high editorial standards while working across multiple projects and deadlines.

• Review content for SEO compatibility and adherence to best practices.

• Offer feedback and mentorship to writers to continually raise the bar on content quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-7 years of professional experience in content writing and editing.

• Strong background in journalism, SEO writing, or digital content development.

• Proven expertise in editing and rewriting a wide variety of content formats.

• Excellent command of the English language, grammar, and editorial structure.

• Proficiency with tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).

• Solid understanding of SEO principles and ability to apply them during editing.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple content pipelines efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in regulated industries such as finance, tax, or compliance is a plus.

• Experience working with high-volume publishing teams or in editorial leadership roles.

• Familiarity with SEO and content optimization tools like Yoast, Grammarly, SEMrush.
