Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer- GCP

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Egen, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure solutions primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your role will involve utilizing tools like Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes for container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments. Additionally, you will provide mentorship to the engineering team and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, architect, and implement scalable, highly available, and secure infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for enterprise-scale deployments. - Utilize Kubernetes deployment tools such as Helm or Kustomize for container orchestration and management. - Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Cloud Build, Harness, etc., focusing on rolling deployments, canaries, and blue/green deployments. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. - Provide technical mentorship and training to engineering staff. **Qualifications:** - 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or similar role. - Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform. - Experience with Kubernetes and related tools. - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies. - Problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. In addition to the above requirements, relevant certifications such as Kubernetes Certified Administrator, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, and software development experience in tools like Terraform and Python are preferred. Exposure to machine learning infrastructure is also beneficial.
