Senior Backend Engineer - Mobile

As a backend developer at Zeta Global, you will be working on the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP), a machine learning/AI powered customer acquisition and CRM multi-tenant platform. Your main focus will be on server-side APIs and services that facilitate a highly distributed event pipeline handling tens of thousands of messages per second. Joining the Software Engineering team as a senior member, you will be a part of designing, developing, and maintaining the distributed systems CRM platform for Zeta. Collaboration with fellow Engineers and Product Managers is key to developing a roadmap and subsequent projects aimed at building a next-generation comprehensive, multichannel marketing solution that unifies and leverages data across digital touchpoints to drive return on marketing investment. A deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture is essential for this role. You should possess significant design and development experience and a passion for working with high-throughput systems where aspects like throughput, performance, redundancy, and concurrency are critical considerations. Key Responsibilities: - Independently and collaboratively understanding business requirements, designing, and implementing core components of the marketing automation platform. - Designing and implementing application code to meet product requirements. - Ensuring high product quality through thorough code reviews and unit tests. - Bug fixing and implementing enhancements. - Taking ownership of a significant product component in both design and implementation. Requirements: - Superior academic credentials with a solid foundation in computer sciences and distributed systems design and development. - At least 4 years of experience in developing scalable, robust software platforms using Java/Ruby/Python or equivalent languages. - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) from an English-language instructional university is highly preferred. - Strong communication skills within a large-distributed development team environment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 8-12 years of experience with Python, Ruby, J2EE technology, or equivalent OO paradigm. - Proficiency with Kafka, Elastic Search, NoSQL databases, Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS. - Experience with container-based solutions is a plus. - Exposure to a fast-paced technology environment. - Strong object-oriented programming and design skills. - Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication abilities. - Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
