Senior Automation Test Engineer - Appium

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer working remotely on a contract basis for a duration of 3 months, you will play a key role in developing and implementing automation frameworks for both UI and API testing. With a minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Automation, you will be responsible for designing and executing automated tests using Java and Selenium. Specifically, you will focus on REST API automation, and mobile testing utilizing tools such as Appium or Perfecto. Your contribution will be vital in creating comprehensive test scenarios, managing defects, and enhancing automation strategies to ensure the overall quality of the software products. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and robust testing automation frameworks. - Designing and executing automated UI tests for web applications using Selenium. - Designing and executing automated API tests for RESTful services, working with JSON and XML formats. - Developing and executing automated tests for mobile applications using Appium or Perfecto. - Creating comprehensive test scenarios and test cases covering end-to-end functional testing requirements. - Executing automated and manual tests, meticulously logging and tracking defects, and preparing detailed test summary reports. - Writing high-quality, maintainable automation scripts primarily in Java programming language. - Collaborating effectively within an Agile framework with development, product, and other QA teams. - Proficiently logging, tracking, and ensuring timely resolution of defects. - Advocating for automation strategies for unit testing to enhance the overall quality assurance process. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum 6 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and Automation. - Strong experience in developing and implementing Testing Automation Frameworks. - Proficiency in writing tests in Java programming language and experience with Postman for API testing. - Extensive experience with Selenium and knowledge of REST API, JSON, and XML formats. - Experience in mobile testing using Appium and/or Perfecto. - Working knowledge of test management software such as qTest and Zephyr. - Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of Web Application Testing, Performance Testing, Database Testing, Security Testing, and Web Service Testing. - Experience with test-driven development and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Desired Skills (Good To Have): - Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing. - Experience with Tosca for relevant positions.
