Senior Associate 1 - Platform Enabled Tax Consultant

As a member of the Tax Digital Services (TDS) team at RSM, you will be part of a dynamic group dedicated to enhancing RSM USI's tax services by leveraging technology and automation. Your role will involve developing into a Subject Matter Expert on tax technology products and working closely with clients to implement efficiencies in processes and add value. Some of the key opportunities you will have in this role include: - Formulating and executing Form 1065 supporting schedules for partnership clients using RSM proprietary tools. - Understanding complex partnership agreements to develop allocation strategies for partnerships with 754 elections. - Supporting automation workflows to enhance deliverables and reduce processing time. - Collaborating with clients and teams to identify areas for improvement and implement automation and technology solutions. - Working with Tax Subject Matter Experts, technical teams, and project managers on development projects. - Leading and engaging teams to address problems and find solutions effectively. Qualifications required for this role: - Masters degree - Minimum 2 years of related work experience in US partnership tax accounting - Intermediate expertise with MS Office - Prior experience in public accounting or professional services - Good knowledge of GoSystem - Strong communication skills - Ability to coordinate and work effectively with teammates, end-users, and leadership - Ability to work in a hybrid office environment - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines accurately Preferred qualifications include: - CPA or EA certification - Understanding of partnership tax allocation methodology in hedge, private equity, and real estate industry - Strong working knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI - Experience with tax compliance systems or financial systems and technology RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, along with flexibility in your schedule to help you balance work and life demands.
