Senior Application Engineer, Procurement and Commercial Solutions

As a qualified candidate for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience. Additionally, you should have at least 8 years of hands-on experience in designing and integrating both internal and third-party applications. Your background should also include a proven track record of driving engineering and architecture strategies, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python. Ideally, you should have experience in integrating custom-built solutions with vendor product offerings and finance business processes. Familiarity with working on web-scale databases and building scalable data pipelines capable of processing large volumes of events per day would be advantageous. Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or similar areas in finance engineering, as well as familiarity with third-party tools, would also be considered a plus. As part of Google's IT organization, you will play a key role in providing end-to-end solutions for various teams within Google. Your work will focus on delivering the necessary tools, platforms, and experiences to empower Googlers in creating more helpful products and services. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing various software products and managing the Software Development Life Cycle for internal applications that support financial planning and analysis processes. Collaboration with stakeholders to identify and solve problems, as well as building consensus among cross-functional teams, will be essential aspects of your role. You will also partner with internal business teams to define system goals and delivery roadmaps, while providing technical guidance and setting priorities for a small group of engineers.,
