Senior Android Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the development of Experian's flagship Android native application - Implement new features and enhance existing ones based on requirements - Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback to peers, and ensure code quality through automated testing and continuous integration - Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives - Resolve performance and scalability issues, debug and troubleshoot application issues - Ensure the application meets Google's design principles and interface guidelines - Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces - Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and technologies - Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and development processes Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - 5 to 7 years of experience in Android app development - Proficiency in Kotlin and Java - Experience with Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and XML - Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services - Knowledge of Google's design principles and interface guidelines - Experience with version control systems like GitHub - Proficiency in Android Studio and other development tools - Experience with automated testing and continuous integration - Experience with Agile development methodologies - Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Android apps Note: The company's culture and focus on people are important differentiators at Experian, with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, work/life balance, development, authenticity, collaboration, wellness, reward & recognition, and volunteering.
