Senior Analyst - Loan Review/Credit Risk Assessment

You will be responsible for conducting independent, high-quality, and comprehensive reviews of borrowers within a diverse range of Commercial loan portfolios, with a preference for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) portfolios. This involves assessing the adequacy of credit quality, loan documentation, credit administration, collateral valuations, risk rating accuracy, and compliance with established policies. Your role will also include interpreting and applying regulatory feedback and requirements, as well as bank policies and credit standards. You will evaluate the adherence of reviewed credits to these policies, credit standards, risk limits, and regulatory guidance. You will be required to produce workpapers that document the findings of the reviews. These workpapers will be used for internal presentations to bank management and external presentations to Line of Business partners and Regulatory review. The ideal candidate should have a CA/CPA/MBA Finance/Graduate in Finance (Accounting) qualification and possess a strong knowledge of U.S. banking laws and regulations, particularly those related to commercial credit, underwriting, and credit department management. An understanding of credit processes such as loan origination, underwriting, credit policies, portfolio management, allowance for loan and lease losses, loan review, and remediation is essential. Prior experience with risk ratings, risk rating methodology, and allowance methodology would be beneficial for this role. Demonstrated experience in overseeing and performing credit risk reviews and loan reviews is highly desirable. Effective communication skills are crucial for this position, as you will be required to interact with all levels of management with limited supervision. Additionally, a working knowledge of project planning and project management methods and tools would be advantageous. ,
