Job Description

As a Senior Analyst in the Costing COE team at Momentive Business Services (MBS), you will be an integral part of the Global Shared Services team responsible for optimizing cost management processes and driving operational excellence. You will work closely with the line manager to deliver timely and accurate cost analysis to support key business decisions and ensure efficient reporting to stakeholders across Business, Commercial, and Operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Standard Cost Management:** Develop, maintain, and improve standard cost models for accurate cost calculations in diverse manufacturing operations. Perform testing and analyze results during Actual Costing Implementation project. - **Actual Cost Analysis:** Conduct detailed analysis of actual costs, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable insights for cost optimization strategies. - **Variance Analysis:** Perform thorough variance analysis, identify key drivers, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions. - **Query Resolution & Discrepancy Management:** Manage cost-related queries, resolve variances between Standard & Actual costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting. - **Multi-Plant Coordination:** Coordinate with teams across multiple plants to harmonize cost accounting practices and streamline reporting processes. - **Collaboration & Engagement:** Engage with business, commercial, and product managers to provide cost insights and support collaborative decision-making. - **Ad-hoc Requests Handling:** Handle ad-hoc requests from stakeholders and managers promptly and effectively to ensure business continuity. - **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and internal Momentive financial policies. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications** - Qualified Cost Accountant with 4-5 years of experience in cost accounting and standard cost management in a manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in SAP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. - Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with attention to detail. **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience in TABLEAU & PowerBI will be a plus.
