Senior AI/Big data/ DW Engineer

As a Senior Data Warehouse Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data warehouse solutions. Your expertise in data modeling, ETL, semantic layer development, and SQL performance tuning will be essential in building scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms. Collaboration with both business and technology teams is key to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of logical and physical data models for the enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms. - Define and enforce standards for dimensional modeling, normalization, star schemas, and snowflake schemas. - Ensure that data models support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics use cases. - Establish and promote best practices, standards, and methodologies related to data modeling and warehouse. - Support data governance initiatives to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the enterprise. - Architect scalable data warehouse solutions, whether cloud-based, hybrid, or otherwise. - Collaborate with ETL/ELT developers to ensure alignment between models and pipelines. Core Qualifications: - Strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehouse design. - Proficiency in logical and physical data modeling using tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or equivalent. - Deep knowledge of relational databases and SQL performance optimization. - Familiarity with data integration, ETL/ELT data pipeline, and dimensional modeling methodologies. - Expertise with BI/reporting platforms like OAC, Tableau, Power BI. Preferred Experience: - Knowledge of data lake-house architectures and big data ecosystems like Databricks, Spark, and Hadoop. - Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc. - Experience with metadata management and data catalog tools. - Exposure to master data management (MDM) and data governance practices.
