Senior Accountant Accounts, Taxation & Financial Analytics

Company:

1. Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• CA / CA Inter / CMA / CMA Inter / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Finance & Accounts.
• Minimum

  7 years of relevant experience

  in accounting and taxation.
• Practical experience in GST, Income Tax, TDS and statutory compliances.
• Experience in preparing replies to tax notices using books of accounts and supporting documents.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Exposure to AI tools and automation of accounting processes.
• Prior experience managing a team of junior accountants.

2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

A. Accounts & Compliance

• Take ownership of accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual account closures.
• Manage GST, Income Tax, TDS and other statutory compliances.
• Independently prepare and coordinate replies to tax notices.
• Ensure all statutory filings and payments are completed within deadlines.

B. Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare financial reports and MIS as required by management.
• Analyse expenses, profitability, working capital, receivables and payables.
• Identify discrepancies, unusual trends and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Provide accurate financial data to support management decisions.

C. AI & ERP Integration

• Identify and implement AI solutions for accounting data entry and processing.
• Automate invoice booking, reconciliations and routine accounting activities.
• Use AI tools for extraction, analysis and reporting of ERP data.
• Improve departmental efficiency through technology and automation.

D. Team Management

• Supervise and manage junior accountants.
• Review their work and ensure accuracy of accounting entries.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor daily deliverables.
• Ensure the team follows accounting procedures and statutory deadlines.

3. Key Performance Expectations

• 100% adherence to statutory deadlines.
• Timely and accurate preparation of tax notice replies.
• Timely monthly accounts closure and MIS reporting.
• Accuracy of accounting records and reconciliations.
• Successful implementation of AI-based accounting automation.
• Effective management and supervision of the accounts team.
