Security Engineer II - Python , Kafka & Terraform

As a Security Engineer II, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to delivering software solutions that meet pre-defined functional and user requirements while also focusing on preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. In this role, you will be responsible for executing standard security solutions following existing playbooks to meet security requirements for internal clients, including product, platform, and application owners. You will also write secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance. You will leverage specialized tools such as vulnerability scanners to analyze and correlate incident data, identifying, interpreting, and summarizing the probability and impact of threats to determine specific vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will support the delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises, contributing to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. To be successful in this role, you are required to have formal training or certification in security engineering concepts along with at least 2 years of applied experience. You should also have experience in developing security engineering solutions, proficiency in Python or Java development, and familiarity with developmental toolsets like Git and Jenkins. An understanding of architecture and design across different systems, experience with cloud development (including serverless application development in AWS), and the ability to work effectively in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals are essential. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of RESTful services and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.,
